Quad/Graphics is seeking First Press Operator at our Direct Marketing facility in Effingham, IL to work in our Press Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting-up, adjusting and operating of printing and Inline finishing equipment.

  • Involvement with training and directing other crew members on the team

  • Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work area

  • Color setting, performing make-readies and working with auxiliary equipment for Finishing line

  • A minimum of three years of prior print manufacturing work experience, including experience at an operator level.

  • Candidates must be able to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Successful completion of Color Test

  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Knowledge of Offset and Ink Jet Presses is a plus.

  • A solid understanding of mailing regulations is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Inline Finishing equipment
