Quad/Graphics is seeking a Press Assistant I (Roll Tender). Responsibilities include handling product that comes off of, and going into the presses, oversees the operation of the automatic stacker/bundlers and/or the splicer/roll stand depending on responsibilities assigned at the beginning of that shift. Assists Press Crew with changing plates and blankets, webbing up the press, manages ink supply and assists with scheduled maintenance. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to product handling, stacker/bundler oversight, roll tending, crew management and work flow.


Candidates must have prior press experience. This position also requires the ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in communication skills are required. The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential. Good verbal and written comprehension skills a must. A passing color-test score is also required. Previous Quad/Graphics controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects, performing repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Mechanical aptitude and excellent experience is preferred.
