Quad DOT Safety Coordinator in Sussex, Wisconsin
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the DOT Safety Programs and maintenance operations of our OTR trucking fleet. This role involves ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repairs for the fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and safety incidents.
Provide training and support to drivers and staff on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in safety and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other relevant industry standards.
Monitor and analyze safety and maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Respond to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate actions to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
Partner with corporate Safety, corporate Compliance, and HR personnel

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the trucking industry required, minimum of 1 year of experience working with safety and maintenance within the trucking industry preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
